Health Services at VIC
Health Services at Virginia Intermont College provides basic care
for students who are ill or injured. Community resources are
utilized when necessary to provide comprehensive care. A
registered nurse staffs Health Services Monday through Friday, from
9-12 noon and from 1-4 p.m., August through May, and is located in
the Arnold House. Physical care, healthy life style habits and
teaching through campus programs such as, STDs, eating disorders,
body image, and sports' nutrition are provided. all full time
students must complete a
Student
Health Summary, which includes a physical exam, immunization
record and personal health history, and submit it to the Admission's
Office prior to registration. Required immunizations are
listed on the Health Form. The student health form can be
downloaded by
CLICKING HERE or under the "forms
for students" section of the VIC website. All students at VIC are required to have health insurance. A copy of both sides of their insurance card, along with the Student Health Form, must be submitted to the Admissions Office prior to registration. Any student who does not provide proof of insurance coverage will be enrolled in the Markel Student Health Insurance Plan if an online waiver is not completed at www.studentassit.com. The student insurance will then be billed to their V.I. account.
