Virginia Intermont’s Dining Hall is managed by Chartwells Dining and Catering (you can view the menu here), a long established food service company known for providing innovative culinary offerings that meet changing tastes and new trends in campus dining. Daily choices include four platforms that focus on great variety, fresh taste and quality ingredients:
The Kitchen: home-style entrees, grilled favorites, vegan/vegetarian dishes and ethnic foods.
Bakers’ Crust: made to order hot and cold sandwiches on bakery fresh breads with premium meats and cheeses, fresh toppings and spreads. Entrée salads are also part of the station.
Xhibition: hands-on interactive environment with rotating specialty cuisines, international, regional and ethnic dishes.
Fresh Market: self-service salad bar and homemade soups with changing selection of fresh toppings and prepared salads using locally grown and organic produce when available seasonally.
VI Dining features Chartwells’ “Eat, Learn, Live” program which engages students in interactive food preparation demonstrations, provides nutritional information and health awareness, and hosts fun events with chef competitions and cook-offs.
The College meal plans give students the option to dine at Café Intermont which offers expanded hours and choices such as classic hero subs, “Very Veggie” sandwiches made with hummus, wraps, burgers, individual pizza and Seattle’s Best specialty coffee drinks.
