Are you interested in the intricacies of the human mind and why people behave in certain ways? As a psychology major, you will critically examine behavior through courses such as Learning and Memory, Personality, Development, Animal Behavior, Counseling, Research Design and Abnormal Psychology.

VI’s Psychology program encourages hands-on learning through guided instruction, field research and community internships. The senior seminar allows students to further explore particular topics of interest while engaging in readings, research and career exploration. An optional internship provides insight into careers in business or industrial settings, mental health agencies and educational institutions.

  • Bachelor of Science

The B.S. degree provides training in psychology with exposure to all major areas of interest. To meet long-term goals, many students choose to minor in other areas such as Biology, Social Work, Political Science or Legal Studies. Should you choose to major in another field of study, you may also decide to pursue a minor in Psychology.
