Business Administration

At Virginia Intermont, students benefit from one-on-one attention from experienced professors who know what it takes to be effective in the ever-changing business world. Our business program provides you with a solid foundation in business principles, and our discussion-rich classes encourage innovative thinking. The course curriculum is enriched by unique opportunities that include corporate tours, guest speakers and community projects.

You will develop skills to analyze concepts, case studies, trends and current events while utilizing the latest technology. From experiencing local internships to travel abroad, you will gain and apply business skills that will be valuable through college and beyond. Numerous local organizations, which in the past have included Wellmont Health System, William King Museum and Barter Theatre, actively seek VI students for business-related internships. The Worrell Honors Program for Studies Abroad is also a great opportunity for students to experience global trends firsthand.

The four-year B.S. degree offers three concentrations:

  • Entrepreneurship
  • Management
  • Marketing

A minor in business is also available to students looking to supplement another degree such as Legal Studies, Sport Management or Equine Studies.
