Teacher Education - Evening and Weekend College

“A good teacher is always a learner.” That adage remains a constant in Virginia Intermont’s B.A. in teacher education program, approved by the Virginia Department of Education. Whether you desire to add licensure to a previous degree or are currently a teacher and seek to supplement your credentials, our B.A. track offers concentrations in:

• PreK-6 interdisciplinary studies with licensure
• Special education with licensure
• Early childhood studies

Field experience, a key to success in education, offers opportunities to test your skills in local elementary, middle or high school settings.  VI’s education program incorporates the required number of hours in observation, student teaching and practical application.
