Academic Divisions

At VI, students may pursue a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Social Work degree. In addition to popular majors in our Division of Arts and Sciences, Division of Fine Arts, and Division of Professional Studies, the College offers innovative curricular programs and specialized studies. Along with more than 40 academic concentrations, new programs in the Classics, Equine-Assisted Therapy, and Cultural Heritage Studies offer unique and exciting options for students.

With a longstanding commitment to the liberal arts tradition, Virginia Intermont offers a broad educational experience that prepares each student to achieve his or her personal and professional goals. Special First Year courses and a Comprehensive Core curriculum are designed to enhance learning in a student’s major field of study.
