On Wednesday, January 8, Tri-Cities Express Girls Basketball Team surprised the Lady Cobras with a great visit at The Cobras Den.
Over the past couple of weeks the Lady Cobras have been strongly involved with the Express Girls Basketball Team. VI Women’s Basketball team visited Express Team for their practice, helping them to get better and learn new playing skills. In addition to that, last weekend Kayla Orrick and Radvile Autukaite had a chance to coach them and to help the Express Team get 2nd place in a 7th grade tournament.
Justin Wimmer, VI women’s assistant coach, who also runs the Tri-Cities Express team and organization stated: “It is an awesome experience to help young people grow and chase their dreams, and to have the VI women’s team and community so involved just adds tremendous pleasure and satisfaction in knowing we are making a difference.”
Lady Cobras junior Radvile Autukaite said: “They were a huge help for us on Wednesday night. It was amazing to see them cheering for us the whole game. It has been an amazing experience to get to know the Express Family and help these young girls to get better.”
