RICHMOND BALLET II to Perform at Virginia Intermont College March 7 in Harrison-Jones Memorial Hall on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at 7:30 pm.

 

 

RICHMOND BALLET II is an elite group of ten professional dancers led by Igor Antonov (RICHMOND BALLET II Director), performing a mixed dance repertory throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. RICHMOND BALLET II also serves as the ambassadors of Richmond Ballet’s outreach and education programs.

 

The troupe will perform a variety of pieces from classical to energetic and zany for the Bristol audience.  Tickets are priced from $10 to $20 and may be purchased online after Feb. 7.  There is no charge for VI students. Richmond Ballet II is partially supported by funding from the Virginia Commission for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.

The play is a musical fable that centers on New York taxi dancer Charity Hope Valentine and her unwavering desire to find true love. Even in the face of an indifferent world that keeps dishing out hard knocks she continues to practice the art of giving, loving and remaining ever hopeful. Performance dates: Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April 11-13, 2013 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, April 14, 2013 at 2:30 pm. All performances will be at Virginia Intermont College in the Trayer Theatre.
