2012 Standings

2012-13 Season

Virginia Intermont equestrians had a busy long weekend, November 9-10-11, hosting the Campus Cup Horse Show and competing in the Intercollegiate Dressage Association (IDA) show at Virginia Tech. The East Tennessee Hunter Jumper Association (ETHJA) Medal Finals were also held at the VI Riding Center on Sunday, Nov. 11.

VI Junior Danielle Clark won the 2012 ETHJA Adult Medal Finals. Danielle rode VI’s horse, Samson, to the title. She received a score of 85 in the initial jumping round, which proved to be the highest score of the day. She returned for flat work but was excused from the final test as the judge elected to test only those behind her in the standings.

Samson is already a well-known competitor, having made his mark last spring when voted the 2012 IHSA National Horse Show hunter seat “Best Horse of the Show.”
