Marketing Department

 

Virginia Intermont College’s marketing department helps develop the VI brand, image and message so that we are communicating to prospective students, current students, their parents, and the community effectively.

 

We’ve included information about the marketing team here and have also provided a form through which you can quickly and easily submit requests to the marketing team. We are available to assist you with a variety of requests such as:

 

Any communication, advertisement or marketing piece that will be read, distributed (by mail, email or posting), or viewed by the public must be reviewed and approved by the marketing department prior to use.  If you have any questions or need assistance with a project, please feel free to contact Sidney Burns at 466-7858 or email her.

 

º Press Releases – writing and sending press releases to local, regional, or national media outlets.
º Press Coverage Requests – arranging press coverage from local, regional or national media outlets.
º Content Writing – writing for various projects such as ads, articles, letters, and other external communications or for creatives such as brochures, flyers, invitations, postcards, posters, programs and logos.
º Editorial Reviews – reviewing your text and documents.
º Social Media Communications – communicating information through the college-wide social media outlets.
º Creative/Design Work – designing various creatives such as brochures, flyers, invitations, postcards, posters, programs and logos.
º Print/Mail Services – obtaining quotes from outside vendors for your printing or mailing needs.
º In-House Printing – printing small jobs that can be handled in-house like brochures, flyers, invitations, posters, programs or a limited amount of postcards.
º Web Updates – updating web pages, creating: new web pages, forms, and surveys, and providing web-based resources.
º Photography – arranging for or providing photography for your event.
