Meet the Admissions Team
Rick Carroll, Ph.D., LPC
Dean of Admissions
Dr. Carroll lives in Bristol with his wife and three active boys. He received a B.A. in psychology from Emory & Henry College in 1991. He completed his M.S. in counseling from Longwood College in 1993. In 2008 he completed his doctorate degree in counselor education and supervision from Regent University and published an article titled, “Adventure-based Counseling with At-risk Middle School Students.” His 20 years of experience in the field of human services has proven valuable with the selectivity process involved in admissions. In addition to teaching courses in the psychology department, Dr. Carroll helps with the screening of applicants to improve the chances of students being successful once they join the VI community. His favorite past times include playing golf and attending sporting events with his family.
