Support Team of Alumni in
Recruitment of Students (STARS)

Would you be interested in helping the College with recruitment of students. Alumni are the best ambassadors for the College. Each volunteer will have a training/resource manual and a video. The written materials may be supplemented by a training session on campus or alternatively by an admissions representative meeting the volunteers in their home area. It will include the following:

  • Mission statement of the College
  • Outline of College’s recruitment goals
  • Profile of desired freshman class member
  • Review of each academic program
  • Brief description of student support services
  • Directory of key office telephone numbers
  • List of key faculty and staff members
  • Glossary of terms
  • Copy of Recruitment Certificate
  • Academic calendar
  • Most often asked questions, with answers

Attention STARS!!!!

Did you know that you have the ability to present a student with a scholarship? If a student you refer to Virginia Intermont College applies and is accepted to Intermont, that student will receive a scholarship for $500 scholarship as a resident-on-campus student  ($250 per semester) for unmet first year tuition expenses upon full-time enrollment.  Off-campus student scholarship is $250 ($125 per semester).

Certificate must be attached to application upon submission by student.
