Earth Day Schedule: 1. “Greet the Sunrise.” Assemble at the east end ( near gym) of Science Hall @ 6:45 for muffins, coffee, and watching the sun rise to the accompaniment of good music! 2. Lunchtime Talk: “Living a Life in Tune with the Environment.” VI Professor Randy Smith will focus on area opportunities to volunteer and get more involved with the outdoors. 3. Join us for the Earth Day feature talk given by Heather Jeffreys of Farm Foods ,LLC . Heather is a native of Washington State, worked here locally with Appalachian Sustainable Development, and is now embarking on a new venture involving the growing organic produce on a small farm in Smyth County and marketing it to local restaurants and grocery stores. Heather has dedicated her life to a sustainable, green, lifestyle and will share thoughts and experiences of her journey on that road. The talk will be held at 7:00 p.m. in Nunn Recital Hall.
