What type of students excels in the History program?
This
program is made for students who are not afraid of a challenge;
a degree in History is rigorous and very rewarding.
What programs do students generally incorporate
with a History major?
Students may desire to teach; these students earn their degree
with a licensure in grades 6-12. Students may couple this degree
with political science or legal studies
Is there a required project for students in the
program?
Each student is required to complete a senior thesis. By completing
the program and the required senior thesis, students will be well
prepared to continue their studies on the graduate level or to
begin a career in teaching, foreign service or the government.
Special grants sometimes allow for students to work with a professor
on a research project.
What other opportunities are available to students?
Students interested in studying abroad have the opportunity to
participate in the Worrell
Honors Program, which takes students to study in Munich and
Germany every May Term.
